WHAT IF I MISS A LESSON?
You can attend another day during the month if there is room or
swap with somebody else for a different night. At the end of the
mnth you lose any missed lessons.
IS THERE A CONTRACT?
No. You only pay for the month you're training.
WHEN DO I PAY?
During the last week of the previous month.
CAN I MISS A MONTH?
You come and go, as you like on a monthly basis. (No Contract).
Should you not attend for 2 weeks without notifying me then I will
assume you have left and you place will be offered to a reserve.
WHY THE RULES?
If there is no booking system, then I might have two nights with
no students and one night with 150 students, there has to be an
even spread of students across all nights to make the most from
the dojo both time wise and financially, without compromising standards.
DO I PAY MORE ON A 5 WEEK MONTH?
No. Fees are for calendar month, regardless of weeks.
DO I PAY FOR BANK HOLIDAYS?
There is no training on Bank Holidays. If the month you have paid
for has one or more bank holidays in it, you still have to pay the
same fee. There are 8 bank holidays a year, there are 4 months of
the year with 5 weeks in them... it more or less cancels out. I
lose on the 5 weeks in a month, you lose on bank holidays. But if
you train three nights a week, the balance shifts in your favour...
check the calendar.
HOW DOES THE BOOKING SYSTEM WORK?
Once you pay your fees you will select your dates Monday, Thursday,
Friday or all depending on your fees. I will always try to give
the dates you want, providing there is room. You can book one month
ahead (only one month to give everybody a fair chance) if you wish
to secure your dates, but you must pay.
WHAT ABOUT TWO WEEK HOLIDAYS?
This is a hard one. After talking to lots of people running gyms,
dance classes etc, etc, they all do the same, you still pay because
you're reserving your place.
I have tried to anticipate most questions I can think
of. If there are any other questions, please ask me, if you are
not happy, please talk to me, it's my aim to provide a fair service
in a proper training environment.
For your information, this payment structure was
based on a gymnastics class that my children attend. You pay per
month with no give in the rules at all, If you don't turn up...
tough... go missing for two sessions and you lose your place. And
from another karate school who run 3 month contracts and charge
£10 more a month for their cheapest option.
